Mar Roxas has the positive image in detailing the economic thrust in the Philippine business arena; noted for his initiatives in believing that the Filipinos could do more than just a country, but an economically stable in the future.
His notable history in running different positions in the government and an excellent graduate student. Roxas was appointed Secretary of Trade and Industry by President Joseph Estrada in January 2000, replacing Jose Pardo who was appointed Secretary of Finance. He resigned the position in November, as Estrada was under fire due to allegations of corruption. In January 2001, days after Estrada was overthrown, Roxas was re-appointed to the same office by newly installed President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. He was also temporarily designated by Arroyo to head the Department of Energy.
During his four-year stint as DTI Secretary, he pushed for the development of the "palengke" (market) as the basic unit of the economy and the root of progress, advocating not only consumer welfare and protection but also sound trade and investment policies, particularly SME development.
His commitment to the Filipino family, and will fulfill this by pursuing, sustaining, and accelerating reform in a number of priority sectors. He wanted sustained economic growth; progress will be sustained through the revitalization of key sectors like manufacturing, which will create jobs for the Filipino people.
Mar Roxas said, “In order to do this, we will develop and fully implement industry-specific resurgence roadmaps in conjunction with stakeholders. We will also address factors that will allow more businesses to come in: the high cost of power, and the lack of infrastructure, among others. Information technology will be utilized to streamline business registration and license systems at the local and national level.”
“To stimulate the creation of high-quality jobs, we will provide incentives to investors who engage in industries higher up the value chain, while ensuring that Filipinos have the necessary training and education to fill openings in these more complex industries. We will revisit EPIRA and other laws in order to encourage greater competition in the energy market. Our goal is to diversify the energy mix, while ensuring that power is affordable, and that baseload capacity can meet the rising demands of a growing economy and a growing population.”
Mar Roxas said that his future administration will sustain a high level of infrastructure development, without compromising the integrity and safety of projects. We will prioritize transport infrastructure to connect cities and regional growth hubs, industrial zones and tourism destinations. Traffic in Metro Manila will be addressed through the re-examination and reconfiguring of bus franchises, and the reform of the train system.
Another item is to maximize tourism potential. New tourism sites will be developed, while we continue the sustainable development of already-favored destinations. Participation of local communities in economic activity generated by tourism will be stimulated. We will ensure that owner-cultivatorship remains the foundation of agriculture and is more profitable and sustainable by encouraging clustering of farmers for effective access to support services and improved farm operations. Targeted infrastructure development in rural areas will be pursued: post-harvest facilities in every town and farm-to-market roads connecting agricultural centers to markets will be built to reduce wastage and maximize profit.
Lastly, before, Manuel Araneta Roxas has filed Senate Bill No. 108 (Magna Carta for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) to strengthen Republic Act No. 6977, the Magna Carta for Small Enterprises. The focus of the amendments of this bill focuses on three points: guidelines, institutional support and organizational support. Guidelines refer to the specific asset size definition, appropriating a definite and regular amount for the Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SMED) Council and increase in the mandatory allocation to lending activities. Institutional support comprises additional government agencies to coordinate SME efforts and formalization of the SME Development Plan.
This will intensify organizational support to intensify the powers and increase capitalization of the Small Business and Guarantee Finance Corporation to complement the growing demands for financing. Other features of the bill include formalizing the celebration of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Week and recognition of outstanding MSMEs.
Mar Roxas has the edge from other presidential candidates to uplift the standard of living in the Philippines through his continuing effort in widening the scope of Philippine economy to globalization.

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has been the center of controversies for the past month because of this “laglag bala” thing. It makes the government alarmed for what can be done to persuade passengers; Filipinos and foreigners alike.
Even the NBI had been tapped for alleged “tanim bala” or “laglag bala” by some unscrupulous individuals working in the airport. Of course, they’ll provide their own versions of the incident.
It’s likewise coincide with the APEC Summit that will be held this week. Moreover, the government has been lax in giving immediate answers which chaotic moves by the passengers heightened.
Even Mar Roxas, the presidential candidate for election 2016 of the government, couldn’t give much explanation for “laglag bala” thing. His pronouncement was of course to defend the Aquino government and pacified the issue at hand, “If you take contraband to the airport, then how does that become the government’s problem?”
Much criticism hurled at the government for continuing to apprehend passengers with bullets. The administration should not be viewed as a villain because it’s just doing its job as part of its ‘Daang Matuwid’ policy, he said. “We assure you that the holding of passengers found with bullets is based on procedures and is not a scam. We are against extortions and scams here.”
But the more explanation given by the Aquino Administration side or Mar Roxas on this matter, the more incidents took place at the airport. What’s really the core of the problem…How can this be?
So many questions that nobody could answer and instead of finger-pointing each other, why not solve it in a different ways?
And then, supposed victims of the extortion scheme narrated how security officials at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport demanded money in exchange of dropping charges for possession of a bullet?
The Aquino government must take immediate action for these incidents. It made havoc to airport passengers and airport workers alike. What could be the answer for the problem? The very core of the problem lies with the government to solve at once and bring the culprits to justice. A severe punishment must be implemented for this purpose to alleviate the situation and awareness for the airport passengers and workers.
What more interesting, the “laglag bala” scheme was well-known all over the world. It creates negative image for the Philippines and for all Filipinos around the world. The Pnoy Administration must act immediately on this damaged issue.

Foreigners move to the Philippines for various reasons just as Filipinos also move to other countries. Americans were married to Filipinas and learned to love the Philippines during their first visit to the country. The Koreans first wanted to learn English and eventually set up a thriving business. The Japanese chose to retire here after seeing a wonderful place that feels like small city in Japan " reminds them of home without being too far away from it.
Some move to save, others to spend. Some move to escape the heat back home, others to have more of it. Some move to be close to their families, others to be far away from them. Some move temporarily, others permanently.
Whatever your reasons for moving to the Philippines, wouldn't it be nice to learn something about the place you want to live in?
The following are some of the most valuable tips you will ever have.
1. Learn about the Filipino Culture
First of all, Filipinos are Asians. They have some of the traits, traditions, and cultures shared by other Asian countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, China, and Indonesia. They have high respect for their elders and they care a lot for them. They can be so shy, they don't directly look at you in the eyes when you speak. They laugh when someone bumps his head while going for a jeepney ride.
Second, Western influences are also deeply woven into the fabric of the Philippine society. You will find names that sound like Spanish or Mexicans. That's the result of more three hundred (300) years of Spanish occupation in this part of the globe. The Spaniards brought their religion, among other things, to the Philippines. The Filipinos love the Americans, too. The Americans brought with them a system of education that became the basis of the one currently practiced in the country. The Filipinos love anything foreign. As a matter of fact, they love everything that is not made in the Philippines.
The Filipinos speak a number of dialects and languages, too. You could easily guess that the Biblical Tower of Babel was erected here and broken down into 7,000 islands that make up the archipelago. Both foreign languages and native dialects are spoken all over the country. The poor and the middle class are struggling to speak fluent English. The rich wants to experiment with Spanish and Chinese-flavored languages. The super-rich just wants the speak the plain Tagalog or Bisaya dialect.
This is just a small cross-section of the Filipino Culture. Learning more about the Filipino Culture is one of the best investments you will ever make if you don't want to experience Culture Shock when moving to the Philippines. If your spouse is a Filipino, you get a tip of the iceberg.
Here are some of the best books to get you started on the Philippine Culture:
a.) Culture and Customs of the Philippines (Culture and Customs of Asia)
b.) Philippines - Culture Smart!: a quick guide to customs and etiquette (Culture Smart!)
c.) Culture Shock! Philippines: A Survival Guide to Customs and Etiquette (Culture Shock)
2. Get To Know the People
Filipinos are among the most hospitable people on the face of this planet. But of course there are some who are rude, too.
Do you want to setup a business in the Philippines? Did you know that most Filipinas are highly sensitive? You can't just shout at her and expect her to be back at work the next day.
Are the Filipinos friendly to Americans? You bet. And that makes it easy for you to mingle with them. Not only that, they can hardly distinguish the Americans from other Western races. They think if you are white, you must be an American.
If you can get along fairly well with your spouse or his/her friends and relatives, it would be easy for you to adjust with the rest of the Filipino people.
3. Learn to Speak a few native words
The Filipino Language (based on Tagalog) is the National Language of the Philippines. It is taught in schools and many Filipinos understand it and knows how to speak it. The Cebuano or Bisaya is also widely used especially in the areas of Visayas and Mindanao.
Knowing how to speak a few lines of these dialects is a plus factor in dealing with a Filipino. An American who can speak it becomes an instant celebrity.
One other thing about native language: A lot of foreigners are pissed-off when they join a group of Filipinos (perhaps in a party) only to realize that everyone is speaking in Greek. You have to understand that they are using a language they are most comfortable with just as a Japanese will use Nihongo most of the time. If you want to join the conversation, have an interpreter close by your side.
The following learning materials will prove to be useful in learning the Filipino Language:
a.) Learn Filipino, Book One, with Discs 1 and 2
b.) Teach Yourself Tagalog Complete Course Audio package
4. Know What It is That You Want in Place
Do you have a clear picture of what it is that you really want in a place? Knowing that is crucial and will save you endless hours of search. Are you looking for a country living? Do you want easy access to the airport? Do you have kids who are going to school? Consider all things that you want and then search for the city or town that has them.
The Philippines is the same everywhere. Well, more or less.
Baguio " dubbed as the summer capital of the Philippines " is a cool place with an American ambiance. Davao was once called the Little Tokyo by the Japanese occupants. Manila is one of oldest city in the country and continues to be the center of commerce until these days. Cebu is a booming city known for its historical traces. And then there are smaller cities, towns, and provinces where all things bright and beautiful abound.
Fresh air and polluted air; serenity and noise; modern lifestyle and traditional living; wealth and poverty. The Philippines has it all. Chose which one you like and you will have it in the Philippines.
5. Familiarize Yourself with the Place You Want to Live In
One of the best ways you can be familiar with a place is by going there. Stay in hotel for a couple of days. Move around the city or town with your wife, Filipino friend, or fellow traveler. If you find a place that you like, rent an apartment for a couple of months and observe the place more. Check to see if that is really the place that you wanted to live.
6. Let The Philippines Be The Philippines
One of the nice things about being in a foreign land is that you begin to appreciate the good things you are doing back home. When you are here, you will find yourself comparing how things are done in your country versus how same things are done here. Wisdom consists in understanding the differences. Peace of mind starts with accepting what is.
Let the Philippines be the Philippines. Expect some things to be a little different than what you are used to. In fact, expect the unexpected.

The last SONA 2015 of President Benigno Aquino III gave much reaction from an ordinary Filipino citizen up to the different sectors of the Philippine society. Even in the political arena where he intertwined his prowess to intermingle with some sort of people with mindset that cannot be swayed by his words.
Political analysts are born to criticize and observe the way he handled the remotest events gradually according to its governance. The President has the highest accolade for all its components to generate returns and continue up to the next election. The Philippine economy index had been moulded to increase its percentage through the years of his governance.
His latest SONA was never a failure but never a winner. He revealed some figures and events that can be toiled by Filipinos in the future. Nevertheless, his positive outlook for the Philippine economy was so real and vindictive. It depicts the true value of being a Filipino when things that he said have its meaning.
Form the downsides and up to the highest echelon of public governance he delivered it with pride and vigour; noting that some failures are looming within his Administration for the past five years.
The MRT3 is the greatest failure so far for its Administration to counter the damaged it had done from the past administration. The contract can never be recoiled into something positive while it’s the private ownership that counted its mark. The Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) that he encouraged for the entire nation reverberated for some other sectors, but for some, it gave the meaning of business relationship.
Because of its effect, traffic congestion in the main thoroughfare at EDSA couldn’t be resolved by its extreme deluge of passengers. Train commuters were at constant problems for their daily ride that caused much pain and sacrifice.
Even the DOTC leaders couldn’t give concrete answers for the huge problems that they’re facing at present. It only denotes the weakness of Pnoy Administration to deal with this MRT3 problem.
The President still very much inspired for the continuation of his endeavour to the next president next year. Likewise, he also wish to pass the Bangsamoro Basic Law by the Current Congress and when he mentioned his interest on Anti-Dynasty Law, it received the loudest applause from SONA attendees.
Therefore, it’s the will of the President to have the best governance so far, but he has some failure for some sectors of the government.

The Mamasapano incident took its toll nationwide for making it the number one media frantic of Pnoy Adminitration. It created more views and opinions to all Filipinos who made them think differently and showered the media jobs into the zenith. Because of these, the lives of our leaders and the oppositions wrangled into another dimension of claiming the glory; in which the steps of negativity surrounded the ordinary citizens living condition a nearly damaged.
The President and his military leaders were among the most failed coordination that ever happened in Philippine history. The highest of cowardice and ingratitude to the Filipino people were made him the lame duck in history of Presidency. The points of Pnoy stand not to accept the blame of the death of 44 SAF members, but the Exodus Operation was the answer of much awaited change that many Filipinos had wished for.
It opened the entire system of governance in the Philippine society wherein finger-pointing was the fashion of this case. The opposition was ever ready to hurl the President any negatives that resulted to the fiasco to acquire the sentiments of the Filipino people.
Investigations were carried-out by many groups that wanted him down and succumbed to their wishes. It’s not very easy for Pnoy to do the action but the willingness to fight back was on his blood, that he had done the right thing only the military leaders had gone bad. Facing credibility crisis and public outcry for justice, President Aquino and his public relations team have resorted to their own version of the incident. Malacanang has branded as “subversive” anyone and anything critical of Pnoy Administration, particularly his lying and disowning his culpability for the Masasapano massacre.
Pnoy administration, along with its cronies at the Senate and the Congress, has lost its credibility and respectability in staging moro-moro probes of the incident for the entire world to see. It was a “box-office hit” in the making, at first, with the testimony erstwhile Special Action Force (SAF) commander Director Getulio Napenas.
Lately, the Board of Inquiry (BOI) released its finding that made this incident into a circus of doubts and hopes. But the fact still remains with the President to come out honestly and tell the truth about the true Exodus Operation. And, the thing that most Filipinos and political oppositions wanted the President to step down and give way to politicians with vested interests in administering their desire for money and power?

The incident that took place at Mamasapano have many angles to be considered from military, political, emotional, BBL, nationwide peace and order, leadership, lives, media, international terrorist and anything that a person may think. It’s very complicated to comprehend if you’re an ordinary Filipino citizen.
The families of the brave Fallen 44 had naturally reacted with the incident but feelings still embroiled with question why it happened to their brave military men. But they knew that military men assigned at Mindanao have 99 percent of their lives are in the grave.
The President as Commander-in-Chief President Aquino of the military should have the capacity to monitor first hand of the mission. He must have the control of its operation while Purisima is suspended and the military leaders under former PNP Chief Purisima. Well, failure in coordination, unclear mission and slow execution got them all to offer the front liner.
Because there were a lot of dead SAF men, and the military operation is confidential in nature, more published stories are circulating and speculating especially the television networks which have their own investigative reports. These TV reports made the whole incident a circus of different minds over the political greediness for some politicians.
In today's hearing, it really comes into the point where no stable coordination from AFP because of its confidentially of the mission. It's very understandable to military system. But, for ordinary citizens, the incident means different. Emotional outburst is not the answer of all these untrue published articles.
It was Napenas who decided to push-through the mission but PNP Chief Purisima has the knowledge of it. The mere fact is that the MILF leaders know the encounter around 6 in the morning but did not act at once to stop the encounter. The question is why Marwan lived beside the MILF stronghold and BIFF? Are they credible to put forward the BBL with the government?
Because of Purisima's resignation, the PNP-SAF Napenas pursued the Marwan operation "Wolverine" into Operation Exodus. But he made this mission secretly to avoid leakage to the MILF. The AFP didn't know this operation but their respond to a call took a longer time to take action. Proper coordination is needed.
PNP Chief Alan Purisima was involved in SAF's operations against Marwan and Usman since he was appointed chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP). It was his decision to resign as the PNP chief, a position he held since December 17, 2012 until he was suspended on December 2014 by the Ombudsman over an alleged murky courier deal. The resignation, which is effective immediately, was made to allow President Aquino to freely work on the Mamasapano issue. He expressed his sympathies to the fallen 44 SAF troopers.
Military operation is very fragile in nature when it comes to targeting the subject which is an international fugitive. Marwan had caused so much damage in the past locally and internationally. The mission Exodus is executed with the aim to serve an arrest warrant but different event happened which constituted for the death of our brave Fallen 44.
Hoping that our leaders must take immediate action for the development of our military force now and in the future.

The Fallen 44 as what I’ve learned from different media; TV, radio, internet and my neighbors who deliberately condemned the killings in Mamasapano, Maguindanao province last 25th of January 2015. Some Filipinos called it massacre of Special Action Forces (SAF) in the clash with Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter (BIFF).
There are so many articles, photos, videos, news, interviews, FB postings, etcetera….who made this saddened news into a “raging bull” intended for Pnoy Administration, PNP leaders, MILF, BIFF, and again, etcetera.
Every Filipino seemed to be affected by the killings that forming groups to investigate the case. Some media people were investigating by their own, adding chaos than helping the situation. Everybody wanted to condemn anybody without thinking the consequences when the President gives his statement about this incident.
Political opposition was happy that the Pnoy Administration got embroiled with his governance. Almost, majority felt the killings affected their hearts. What’s the difference when we have to give our leaders an ample time to do their jobs and to trust them to investigate the case?
I think, maybe, just maybe, you already knew the risks to be SAF member, soldier, police or any government forces in combatting bad elements of our beloved country, the Philippines.
The killed 44 elite police commandos in the clash with Moro guerrillas in Maguindanao province sent the government’s agreement with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) on the establishment of an autonomous Bangsamoro substate in Mindanao to the brink of collapse amid recriminations over who was responsible for the carnage. The encounter, in which government forces were killed with savage atrocity, took place inside a territory held by the MILF and inflicted the heaviest casualties in more than a decade of desultory talks on the proposed ancestral domain for a Bangsamoro Juridical Entity (BJE). The clash erupted despite a ceasefire agreement between government forces and Moro guerrrillas.
The Aquino Administration declared a period of mourning for the slain policemen, extolled as heroes, but as the corpses in coffins draped in the Philippine flag arrived in Manila for necrological services, the sight ignited public indignation and clamor to scrap the memorandum of agreement on ancestral domain (MOA-AD) amid accusations of treachery by the MILF and that the government sent the policemen to be slaughtered in hostile territory in operations marked by blunders described by the government and its apologists as mere “misencounter.”
The encounter unmasked the fragility and imperfections of the MOA-AD that calls other politicians to review the present agreement that could entirely be given to the peace process. The incident of Fallen 44 results the government officials to address the issue with MILF.
There can be no peace without justice, a leader of the House of Representatives wants multiple murder cases filed against members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) responsible for the bloodbath.
But, if all of us could think it over for hundredths of times, maybe, we could come up something useful for this case. We could devise other ways to solve this case, move forward for the future without pointing fingers to our leaders or anybody else until proven guilty.

On Nov. 8, 2013, the typhoon Yolanda ravaged the country’s Central Visayas region with so much damaged to the lives of the Filipino people. It’s the most killer typhoon that made a landfall for almost three days especially in Tacloban. Every Filipino mourned to what happened for the typhoon’s aftermath.
The government leaders were not ready for this kind of natural disaster, in which it gave negative image to the Aquino Administration. Chaos ensued that Filipino culture are showing in time of emergency situation. Even the media showed uncompromising news wherein citizens looted other business establishments for food.
The National Government is very slow to react or take action with this kind of provincial disaster. It’s a fact that the Philippines considered as typhoon-prone country, and every Filipino cannot decipher in advance or not ready for killer typhoon like Yolanda.
More relief organizations around the world contributed much to the Filipinos, to help them rebuild their lives and with the aid of the government. The relief and rehabilitation efforts of President Aquino to the Yolanda victims of Tacloban gives much hope to them. Their needs are mostly identified but the projection to build their lives showed after a year.
The Catholic Group of the Philippines is more concerned with the Yolanda victims and not in tune with the Aquino Administration. On Nov. 8, 2014, the Filipino nation will commemorate the anniversary of typhoon Yolanda that has ravaged the country’s Central Visayas region. Thus, we declare Nov. 8 this year as a National Day of Prayer, especially for the victims and survivors of the typhoon, Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas said.
The Catholic Church in the Philippines has spent about P563 million to help over 2 million people directly affected by Yolanda through the church’s integrated recovery assistance program, with funds coming from 41 Caritas member-organizations in six continents.
On the eve of the anniversary, Plan International, a humanitarian relief and child rights group, said much work remains to be done in terms of providing survivors with housing and livelihood.
The slow reaction of the government leaders especially the DSWD made this action hard for them to manage and distribute the relief goods. The DSWD contribution to Yolanda victims of the Visayas region, P736.3 million out of the P740.2 million in cash donations for Yolanda survivors remained unused and deposited in the bank account of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as of Dec. 31, 2013.
Most of COA’s adverse findings had to do with poor inventory, storage and transport of relief goods, which in some instances, resulted in relief goods getting wasted and much-needed help getting delayed. Officials of DSWD, the lead agency in the relief operations, limited manpower and equipment hampered some aspects of the relief operations in Cebu.
The government effort to rebuild the Yolanda victims failed in some ways which resulted in disagreement and demonstration. It’s not even completed the other planned projects to the damaged communities. But, President Aquino has other ways to rebuild the infrastructure in a long term.
The Yolanda victims and damaged places are really in need right now. It’s the government task to help them rebuild their lives. Also, they need their livelihood to enjoy life as a gift by God. Preparedness is needed and love for our country.

A holding cross, or a comfort cross, as it is sometimes called, is an asymmetric cross that is made to fit ergonomically into the palm of one's hand and is used during prayer. It is thought that the holding cross is based on an ancient design found in ancient European chapels. Although the origin of the holding/comfort cross tradition is not known, it is thought that it dates back to the early Christians.
Holding crosses are made out of many different types of wood, but in my opinion, none is more appropriate than a cross made out of the olive wood pruning of trees that grow in the very region that Jesus was born - in the area around Bethlehem. Olive trees have scattered the landscape there since biblical times, where they grow both in terraced groves and on the hilltops. The oil from the fruit of the Olive Tree has been used for religious rites since biblical times. Since the olive tree is a protected species in Israel and cannot be cut down, all olive wood artifacts are made only from the trees pruning. Olive wood items are imbued with spirituality, and do not require much care since olive oil is naturally protecting them from corrosion and changes of color. In time the holding cross will develop its own patina from frequent handling. No two crosses will ever look the same due to the variations in the grain on the wood.
Who should have a Holding Cross?
Anyone who is in a time of struggle or loss and is looking for guidance.
Anyone who needs to find comfort and is looking for solace.
Anyone who is struggling to cling to their faith.
Anyone who is looking for a companion for their prayers and meditation.
If you or someone you know is ill simply holding the cross may be the best way to pray.
The cross, as a symbol has a very meaningful and deep message of faith, belief and hope. Although as a jewellery trend it somewhat losses it true essence, however, whether one wears it for religious belief or as a style statement, someone keeps it as a cherished Jewellery item or as a blessing from Christ, in my opinion it is still a very powerful symbol and for centuries to come will be known to mankind as a symbol for hope, beauty, power and GOD. Cross Pendant is such a gift that any one that gets it or buys it will cherish throughout their life.
A holding cross is the ideal gift to mark most gift giving occasions such as a baptism, confirmation, birthday, Easter, Christmas or just to give to someone to say Thank You. It is recommended to keep a supply of these crosses ready to give to your loved ones in their times of need.

Sorry to hear that the Pinoy Administration are experiencing between a rock and a hard place; the truck ban of the Manila Mayor Estrada caused port congestion and traffic problems. Not only that, businesses were affected and the employees too.
This implementation did not improve the situation but make it worse. I think change the plan if needed? There's nothing wrong with trying another solution until you succeed, isn’t it?
Manila passed an ordinance without thinking its consequences to neighboring cities and the entire Metro Manila. Mayor Estrada version of TRUCK BAN included the BANNING of travel of EMPTY CONTAINERS during the allowable hours, that led to the port congestion as many empty containers were not loaded to departing ships. That 60% of the cargoes are intended for Metro Manila, but he Mayor banned many of the main arterial roads some even 24/7 from port to these neighboring cities and even from port to inner Tondo and Binondo.
But since it caused problems, the government must have to take immediate solutions to iron out while minimal damages were being undertaken. A mistake of its components must be undertaken by its major leaders in preventing to spread the problems nationwide.
There’s no use of apologizing to the people because, Filipinos needs instant action and solution. And, those implemented actions must be in a long-term to prolong the usage with positive effect to our society.
However, not only the stakeholders are affected but also the working people. The government must also consider other businesses that are affected by traffic. Look what’s happening, there is enough movement to push for this ordinance. Manila, in essence, decided to fight back by drawing a line on traffic whether it is building a new port, fixing BOC release permits or another possible long term solution. The President has to take the port congestion seriously and not rely on Manila to accommodate to clog its lanes forever. So far Mayor Estrada is willing to talk, but pointing fingers is not going to solve the problem. The Pnoy Administration should force BOC to change its ways for the betterment of the whole problems.
Many Filipinos who do not understand the logistics of cargo transport suggested the use of Batangas and Subic ports; maybe at present situation, now that the PPA had decreased their rates in these 2 ports. Batangas is starting to experience congestion already. But prior to this crisis, it’s cheaper to import even for Calabarzon locators via Manila ports even at the height of ports congestion with tons of charges like port congestion fee, demurrage, container imbalance, and storage.
The truck ban affects the entire nation as far as trade movement is concerned. Likewise, it affects ordinary commuters when traffic is stalled.
Another major crisis at present is the traffic caused by this MRT3 maintenance and management problems. The riding public is to sacrifice their time, energy and money just to make sure the train system in EDSA is secured. Not only is the MRT3, the traffic congestion along the main road of EDSA’s also growing that our government must take immediate action.
There should be a meeting between the MMDA and the Mayors of neighboring cities for these problems through the initiative of the president. This should be immediate and no option for Pinoy Administration to apologize to the Filipino people.

The Presidency of Benigno S. Aquino III began at noon on June 30, 2010, when he became the fifteenth President of the Philippines, succeeding Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Aquino is the third-youngest person to be elected president, and the fourth-youngest president after Emilio Aguinaldo, Ramon Magsaysay and Ferdinand Marcos. Aquino is the first president to be a bachelor, being unmarried and having no children. Aquino is the first graduate of Ateneo de Manila University to become president.
The presidential transition began on June 9, 2010, when the Congress of the Philippines proclaimed Aquino the winner of the 2010 Philippine presidential elections held on May 10, 2010, proclaiming Aquino as the President-elect of the Philippines.
Ever since after his proclamation, he carried his own mandate by eradicating negative elements in the Philippine political system. He wanted the Philippine economy to increase in terms of its GDP.
Thus, at present his administration was shaken by so many negative setbacks through the insistent of other political groups from different sectors of the society. His political enemies were making news media as the primary element in tarnishing his image and even his management of the political system in which Filipinos urged him to step down.
Moreover, the latest news, that he’s planning another term of his leadership. The media and the citizens were crying about it, in which street demonstrations started to evolve naturally.
The 1987 Philippine Constitution shall prevail that the next Presidential election will be held after his term. There’s no way that President Aquino could continue serving the Filipino people. Some rumors were spreading that Charter Change’s possible.
His administration was tarnished by more negative outcome that people thought his appointed officials had done minimal services to the Filipino people. In fact, the problem of MRT3-EDSA cannot give much solution coming from DOTC Secretary Jun Abaya. It made worst in maintaining its operations that last August 2, 2014 – derailment of the coasters happened. Up to this date, still train breakdown’s showing continuously.
Another negative aspect with his administration was the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) in which, he allocated funds to those projects that needed priorities at hand. The Supreme Court concluded that DAP’s unconstitutional, but President Aquino continuously defended it as legal. At present, the three impeachment complaints are being tackled at the Senate.
Moreover, the Pork Barrel issues still the primary concern of his political detractors, to abolish permanently because it causes corruption inside the political system. Currently halted by Aquino government and the case of Janet Napoles was still under investigation together with the three senators.
In addition, more Presidential hopefuls were very eager to announce their candidacy in advanced. They wanted the highest position in the Philippine political system. But my question is: Are they really sincere in serving the Filipino people? By ways of uplifting the standard of living, development of every sectors of the country’s economy, building more infrastructures, creating more decent jobs, eradicating crimes, educational uplifting, developing modern technologies, agricultural movements, defending territorial boundaries, etcitera, etcitera...
The list is endless.

BCDA Wants The Public To Believe That They Are Partner of CJHDevco in Developing Baguio According To Its Published Open Letter #HelpfulHowTo
The story continues for Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) against Camp John Hay Development Corporation (CJHDevCo) that Arnel Casanova posted an open letter that could otherwise change his image to all Filipinos, the City Government of Baguio, the Mayor and the residents of Baguio City as a whole. Is this another strategy of BCDA President to conquer the minds of the people involved? And, to clean his image and actions as positive, helping all the residents of Baguio and its neighboring areas?
The open letter consists of the things that he was supposed to say personally to Mayor Mauricio Domogan, but he opted to at the BCDA website because, he knew that Mayor Domogan won’t give-in to his never ending negative actions against CJHDevCo, who only wanted that the MOA be followed and continue to manage Camp John Hay.
Remember that anything when settled amicably will give positive results and development ensues. Why BCDA not following the agreement that has been executed between CJHDevCo and discrediting it publicly? Is there another company involve?
Let’s take a look of what transpired before:
CJHDevCo operations were adversely affected of the delay, resulting in losses of P1.445 billion, which was increasing daily and has accumulated lease payment arrears to the BCDA in the staggering amount which belongs to the people of Baguio and the surrounding municipalities. As such, the agreement was first restructured in 2000.
CJHDevCo was supposed to pay an annual rent of P425 million or 5% of gross revenues for the first 5 years of the lease, whichever was higher. This meant that for 1998, 1999, and 2000, the government was supposed to receive P1.275 billion in rental payments.
The estafa charges filed against Sobrepeña was the damages worth P1.15 billion from owing BCDA , believing that CJHDevCo was capable of paying its annual rent which misleads the government under the terms of the 1996 lease agreement.
Robert Sobrepeña arrest proved BCDA purpose in gaining the momentum while the court decision in Singapore still in progress. President and CEO Arnel Paciano Casanova said, “We laud the DOJ in this breakthrough decision to make fraudulent businesses accountable to the people and to protect the interest of the public from fraudulent schemes. The DOJ’s ruling puts CJHDevCo’s former Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) with BCDA as well as all other agreements that CJHDevCo has entered into with its locators, buyers, and business partners in question.
CJHDevCo willingness to fulfill its financial obligation to BCDA provided the government must abide by the contract they both executed. But subsequent moves by BCDA, suggest no end in sight in the near future.
So, this open letter’s another move by BCDA to prolong the case while they’re planning their next moves? Or to clean its image when election time comes 2016?
Open Letter Link of BCDA President Arnel CasanovaAn Open Letter For Honorable Mauricio Domogan And The City Government Of Baguio
REPLY TO THE PUBLISHED OPEN LETTER OF BCDA PRESIDENT & CEO ARNEL PACIANO D. CASANOVA: REPLY TO THE PUBLISHED OPEN LETTER OF BCDA PRESIDENT & CEO ARNEL PACIANO D. CASANOVA
To be fair I posted the 2 published open letters for your reference as to why this case still continues.
The delay caused CJHDevCo to deteriorate with the revenues while the government of Baguio and its residents suffer for not granting CJHDevCo projects to be completed. These projects when completed could give more jobs and revenues to the City of Baguio. Also, CJHDevCo could resume their revenue-generated management of Camp John Hay.
Developments and progress in Camp John Hay in Baguio City are not realized because of BCDA but still, Arnel Casanova wrote an open letter seeming to describe them as so. BCDA wants the public to believe that they are partner of CJHDevco in developing Baguio when in fact it's more like just making life difficult for CJHDevCo.

The 5th SONA 2014 highlights the achievements of the government on education, social services, economy, improvement, infrastructure, calamity efforts, jobs, rehabilitation after typhoons and earthquake, modernization of AFP, security, ARMM Bangsamoro and livelihood.
More subjects to be focused on with Pnoy Administration to prosper into the development that all Filipinos were waiting to happen. It’s within his power to establish such programs to elevate ways and means in dealing with poverty-stricken sectors of our society.
The infrastructures should always be developed to catch-up the developing countries in the Southeast Asian nations. The Philippines has the edge in terms of development compare to its neighboring countries.
Under the controversial DAP, PNoy said that around P1.6 billion fund was given to Training-for-Work Scholarship Program of TESDA. A total of 223,615 beneficiaries have graduated with an equivalent of 146,731 graduates currently working.
This is a good sign of developing the livelihood of every graduate to push forward their lives into the future. Hoping that more graduates could make it successfully every year. TESDA could produce more qualified workers locally and abroad with its standardization of educational system.
President Aquino also boasts the Expanded Conditional Cash Transfer program which has started this June with a budget of 12.3 billion. According to him, the poverty incidence went down to 24.9% in the first quarter of 2013.
Despite of the said achievements and plans of the government, thousands of protesters marched along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City toward Batasan Pambansa as a sign of disgusted people over the Pinoy Administration. According to them, Aquino is the pork barrel king as they have showed "holDAPer" effigy which pertains to the President's DAP.
So, these protesters were doing their share in making the chaos out of SONA and rate the President. I think they’ll rate it as 0 to substantiate their pains why Pnoy applied DAP without their knowledge? They wanted it to show to the world that the President made a mistake and step down at once? But it won’t happen.
The President did not mention the issue on the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) with many of the politicians was involved. Also, he failed to include the passage of the Freedom of Information (FOI) bill in his SONA. The measure aims to eliminate corruption in the bureaucracy by giving the public greater access to government transactions and records.
Maybe the leftists wanted to hear these things to heighten their desire to be talked about and acted at once in the streets; to demonstrate and show their sentiments as barkers of peace and truth, the brave democratic citizens who represent the small disgusted geniuses behind this street drama of all time.
Whoever our elected President in the future, unsatisfied citizens will surely make another chaos to demonstrate their feelings towards our leaders. In fact, the word satisfaction’s not on their vocabulary.
Unification of minds and hearts of all Filipinos is the key to develop gradually while our faith keeps intact forever.

How to Make An Effective Management Information System #HelpfulHowTo
Management information System which is also known as MIS in short and the basic purpose of using this technology in business to keep and track records of performance of an organization and its employee as well. Basically, it helps the executives of a company to make proper decisions for the well of the organization. A valuable MIS store and brings together all the data available from operations, outside inputs and previous activities into information that demonstrates what the company has accomplished in major functional areas and further requirements for future progress.
It is a matter of fact that it is quite tough to make a normal MIS to an effective one. However, it becomes easier when you split it into a few parts like User Authorization, Data Input, Accessibility, Changes in Data and Decision Making. Let's start with the first one which is user authorization. As the name sounds, it means who can see the data. Here is big confusion that most of people have. Who can see the data is not same as who can put the data. Moreover, who can put the data is not same as who can edit the data. Last but not least, every user is not authorized to keep or track of all the data. Here the user authorization plays a big role. Hence, the proper user authorization should be given to actual professionals. It is the very first step and it builds the base of a management information system.
Second important part is data input which means the data provided by the employees in MIS. The data should be accurate not approximate. Many people think that 100, 98.7 and 100.2 is same and so they enter 100 even if it is in near decimals. But, it makes a huge a difference in long calculation. If every employee thinks like that then the entire data input will be wrong and on the base of that ultimately the decision also becomes a wrong one. Next one is accessibility which is the key one in this case. Giving accessibility of critical information to all employees can be harmful for an organization. There should be some restrictions regarding the accessibility of Management Information System. There must be feature to provide the edit option for the data input. If someone inputs wrong data by mistake then it can be changed afterward. Last but not least, if these all are done efficiently then the ultimate task is making proper decision on the basis of that data record and analysis.

How to Take Care of Your BBQ Kebab Skewers and Grills #HelpfulHowTo
With easy and simple methods you can prevent your BBQ Kebab skewers and grills from rusting. Rust free skewers and grills give a long life to your barbecue. The skewers rust quickly because of several reasons. Barbecue anneals' repeated heating, or softening of the screws and nuts make them susceptible to rust. Along with this, high humidity outside the home and high coating of briquette ash also forms a suitable environment for rusts. Mentioned below procedures, if followed by you, then you can recuperate a rusty BBQ or can protect your new BBQ from getting damaged.
In the first step you will have to disband your BBQ parts and start cleaning them. First switch off the valves of the gas and then detach it from the propane cistern or from the flexible hose that is supplying natural gas to it. Clean the grills by removing the ashes, grill grates and any other loose parts that are not joined together. Automatic BBQ grill cannot be detached, so better to clean them with full care. The BBQ Kebab Skewers also have stains of food on it, so clean it with warm water.
In the second step, you should use a solvent that is not greasy and a rough cloth for removing any old grease or leftover food contents. Using a brush (as thin as wire) clean the left over nuts and screws that cannot be unscrewed. Use delicate scrubbers for removing the rust, so that no scratches appear on the BBQ while cleaning. Inspect each and every nut minutely so that no rust is left over.
In the third step, assemble the unscrewed parts and those screws that have extended or contracted due to the repeated cooling and heating should be replaced. You can get the screws from any nearby hardware shop.
Last step to keep your BBQ rust free and in good working condition is to keep it covered whenever you don't use it. As BBQ is placed outside the home, it has to go through all the harsh behaviors of the climate, like heavy rain, hot and cold temperature. These changing climates can hamper your BBQ. Covers for barbeques are available, buy one and give shelter to your barbeque.
Keep checking your BBQ and its grills and skewers from time to time if you are not using them for a long time. A little attention and care can give a long life to your barbeque.

There's a goodly list of things that someone can do to improve the way they look, and a huge variety of reasons why they might desire to do so. Occasionally we want to feel a little better about our appearance; a jot more bullish in the manner we move around and the poise with which we bear ourselves around - perhaps you're planning to start looking for a new role and want to carry out the interviews a little more confidently. Sometimes we're more obsessed with how other people perceive us, so in the place of wanting to change our look for our own frame of mind, we're looking to influence the way that other people see us. Sometimes it's a mixture of all these reasons. But whatever of the reason, today there are a great many things that you might opt to do to alter your appearance.
Getting thinner is a simple way to change or improve the way you look. It can make you feel better both physically and emotionally, as well as having a largely remarkable influence on the way you look. You might also change your hair; having longer hair, ladies can alter their hair more dramatically, cutting a long style short or growing shorter hair long; cutting in a fringe or growing an old one out. There's hair shade too of course- people of either sex can alter the shade of their hair by making use of either dye or bleach, or with both. Men can also create changes with their facial hair, acquiring sideburns, a moustache of one sort or another, bringing in some designer stubble or perhaps beginning to grow a full beard.
But one of the most surprisingly dramatic ways to alter the way you look, and one which many people who look at you might really struggle to put their finger on when they first see you, is by improving the way your teeth look. Going to see a dentist or an orthodontist and straightening your teeth can be a long and costly exercise, as can having veneers added to them, however there are more readily affordable and cheaper things you can do from the comfort of your own home that will nonetheless still have a terrific impact on the appearance of your teeth, and so also alter the overall look of your face.
There are a wide number of manners in which those who are potentially interested in doing so can whiten their teeth at home, without going to the expense and the hassle of going to see their dentist. The issue of how to whiten your teeth is asked continually, and these days can be answered in a large number of ways. There are plenty of products you can choose for use at home that will take stains from your teeth and so help you to reinvigorate their natural shine. If you're looking for the strongest teeth whiteners then the web is a terrific place to begin looking- you can choose the products that have the best reviews from other customers who have genuine experience of using them.

How to Care for an Elderly Person or Senior
It is not always easy caring for an elderly person. Their physical condition, health issues and their emotional state can present challenges for you, the caregiver. There are no doubts that caring for an elderly person is admirable, but it certainly comes with stress and at times can be overwhelming.
Far too many people feel guilty that they cannot care for an elderly person on their own. Life presents far too many challenges and more often than not raising a family, paying into a mortgage and keeping food on the table can be challenging enough let alone adding to this caring for an elderly loved one. Although this can be challenging, it is not impossible. Preparing yourself and your family members for the transition is essential in order to make this work well.
Physical Considerations
Get informed about the physical needs of your loved one. Talk to the doctor and to anyone else who may have the wisdom and knowledge to help you care for the elderly member of your family. Know what to expect, what medications are required. Using services provided by a certified in-home caregiver from a professional agency can assist you in times that you need that extra help.
Keeping all important information in one file is important and this includes all medical information including test results, names and phone numbers of doctors, appointment dates, hospital cards, and insurance information. If your loved one is taking a lot of medications, make a chart to help keep track of what medication is to be taken and when.
Always be sure the home is safe. If your loved one uses a walker be sure throw rugs are secure, and there are no obstacles for them to trip over. Install safety railings should this help. If your loved one can get confused at times, it’s also a good safety precaution to have a baby gate positioned high enough in the door frame at staircases so that they cannot fall down.
Emotional Considerations
Spending time caring for the elderly does not have to be all about taking care of their personal needs. Spend time asking them about their life. Everyone has stories to share about their life and some seniors have great experiences to share.
Teach an elderly person about the Internet. Many elderly people are nervous about computers and teaching them about all the amazing benefits of the Internet can spark new life in the person you are caring for.
The brain likes to stay active and no better way to do this than to play word games, crossword puzzles or even some board games such as Scrabble.
Always remember to be understanding because as we get older we tend to be very set in our ways and this means being stubborn at times. If the person you are caring for is being very stubborn and it is not a big issue, let it go. If the stubbornness is over something that is not negotiable it's much easier to handle and you'll have much less stress when you know to expect it.
When you have all the tools you need, it will make caring for the elderly much easier.

Lucas Wilson. Offering 24 hour emergency service, Topham Fire Protection is your source expert installation, repair and inspection of alarm systems, fire extinguishers and more.
How To Exercise Proper Fire Extinguisher Safety
Before the advent of the modern fire extinguisher, fires that started in one room of a building were a lot more likely to spread to others, consuming everything in their path, and causing huge amounts of property damage, not to mention a greater potential for loss of life.
While these handy safety tools are incredibly useful at putting out small fires before they become big ones, their use isn't always completely safe in all situations. It's important to understand a bit about how these life-saving gadgets work in order to be as comfortable with using one to put out a fire as possible, if that time ever comes.
What's Inside A Fire Extinguisher?
Most everyone has seen a fire extinguisher at some point in their lives, and it's safe to say that the vast majority of people have at least a basic understanding of how to use one. If there's a fire, the pin in the side of the nozzle is pulled, the hose is pointed at the flame, and the handle is squeezed.
When you use an extinguisher, no matter what the reason, the fire suppressant that comes out does so under tremendous pressure. For most extinguishers that operate by static gas compression, the gas is usually either inert nitrogen, or carbon dioxide. Both can serve their purpose by denying a fire of the oxygen that it needs to continue burning, putting it out very quickly.
While nitrogen is one of the gasses that exists in normal atmospheric mix, and is essentially harmless to people, carbon dioxide is not something you want to have an abundance of in a confined space. This is one reason why it's important to ventilate any indoor area that you've used an extinguisher in, but only after the fire has been put completely out.
Carbon dioxide can also get very cold when it moves rapidly from a compressed state. While this adds to its effectiveness as a fire retardant, it means that it can be somewhat dangerous to fire a stream of it directly at a person. The only circumstance under which this would be acceptable is if that person was literally on fire.
Routine Pressure Checks
It's a fortunate truth that commercial and residential fires are a relatively uncommon occurrence, and as a result, fire extinguishers can sit unused for years before they're ever actually needed. Still, it's important to periodically make sure that they're in working order, and that they'll be ready to function properly at a moment's notice if they're ever needed.
One of the ways fire departments in municipalities all over the world make sure this happens is to recommend getting an extinguisher pressure checked every two to three years by someone who is licensed in dealing with pressurized gas delivery systems. Some larger fire departments may provide this service for you in some cities, either for free, or for a very small fee.
Commercial properties, such as hotels and motels, are often required to do this by law, as the safety of their guests is one of their most important responsibilities. For everyone else, it just makes for good housekeeping, and good common sense.
